Message from the Head of the Junior School - February 17, 2017

Dear Junior School Parents,

A message of congratulations to Jeff MacLean, Leslie Hood and the Primary and Junior School choirs.

The Primary choir girls did an excellent job and sang their way to first place at the Kiwanis Festival! Out of the 9 primary choirs who entered this class over the span of 2 days, the girls ended up second overall, with a mark of 90. The comments were all very positive and the adjudicators thought their sound was pitch perfect!

Equally impressive is the Junior Choir,  who also came in first place. Out of the 11 Junior Choirs who entered the festival, the girls finished up first overall with a mark of 91, beating school choirs that have won national and provincial choral championships in the past!  It takes several years to develop a rich choral program and we have surely built a strong foundation through the girls’ commitment to choir every year and their focused practice.

Thank you to Mr. MacLean and Ms. Hood for preparing our girls so well, and for helping to bring out their very best.

Wishing you all a lovely Family Day long weekend!

Warmly,
Leslie Anne
