Dear JS Parents,
As always, Spirit Week in the Junior School showcased the amazing creativity, positive energy, and enthusiasm of our students.
Highlights of the week included: the Lip Synch Contest, Listening to the Grade 6 Ensemble playing in prayers, hearing an original published story from a Grade 6 student, being awed by a Grade 2 student who courageously played an original piece of music for our whole community, the Grade 5 3-day excursion to Algonquin Park, the Grade 6 House Leaders parading around the gym and being honoured as the leaders of our school, hot chocolate served by the JS Prefects, and finally a victory for the JS Hockey Team at the Hewitt Cup!
Thank you to everyone for your participation, and for making this year's Spirit Week such a success.

- A reminder that on Monday we will be celebrating the Lunar New Year. Any student that would like to wear a special outfit to mark this occasion is welcome to do so.
ASH WEDNESDAY
Wednesday, February 14
- Next Wednesday is both Valentine's Day and Ash Wednesday. As always, interested Junior School girls and faculty are welcome to join those marking Ash Wednesday in the Upper School Chapel at 11:45 for a brief service with imposition of ashes.
- If your daughter would like to attend, please email your permission to Ms. Walker at cwalker@havergal.on.ca. We will maintain a list, and those students with parental permission will be walked over to the Upper School for the service.

BAKE SALE

- All Junior School girls will visit the special "certified nut-free and allergy-aware table" with their class to buy a treat during the school day -- PLEASE CONSIDER SEND YOUR DAUGHTER(S) WITH $5 TO PURCHASE A TREAT FROM THE BAKE SALE WITH THEIR CLASSMATES ON FEB 22nd. We don’t want any disappointed JS girls!
- The bake sale at the Junior School will open to all our families at Dismissal (12noon) on February 22nd. Come early to get the best selection of the many lovingly made and contributed baked goods from our JS families. The bake sale will continue all afternoon during parent teacher interviews and into the evening, until we sell out.
- We still would love you to be a part of our Havergal Bake Sale day -- now that you have booked your parent teacher interviews, and know your schedule for Feb 22nd, please click on the below link to find a convenient time to volunteer.
